Actually, I didn't. MS gave a dozen or so licenses of the full Visual Studio 2003 Professional to the Python project several years ago, and Guido directed one of them to me. This was before they started making the entry level Express versions of the compiler freely downloadable, so was a really big move in the right direction for MS.
If MS wanted to support Open Source heroes, they'd give away VS, not a
90 day trial.
Agreed. I'm going to need to upgrade one of these days and would rather not have to take a step backwards in features to be able to it.
