Well, for what it's worth, what you got in your Hero Pack is exactly what Microsoft said they would send:

I think they're hoping to convince people that Visual Studio is a more productive environment for creating tools of ALL kinds, including open source tools, than their competitors. They might be right, but time will tell.

Still... Windows Server? You gotta admit, that's teh funneh.

I am told by people I trust that Windows Server 2008 is a very respectable system, well worth a look, even for desktops. It seems to be what Vista should have been. Faster, less annoying, vastly more configurable. You just configure the modules you want, without having to drag in a huge boatload of crap you'll never use.

I'm still running XP, but I might skip right past Vista and run WS08 on my desktop. But, then, as an MVP and a Microsoft Solution Provider, I don't have to pay for the licenses...
