Just a quick note to let you know that Google is making a preview their new Groups WebUI available for opt-in. I’ve been playing with it for a few minutes and it looks pretty good to me. In a nutshell UI seems to be like something between Gmail and a traditional Forum interface, which seems to me to be a good fit for maillists.
The reason that I’m mentioning this here on this list is that you can now attach files to your messages from the Web UI. So if you prefer using the WebUI for reading this list instead of your email client then I encourage you to opt-in to the new UI so we can avoid any issues related to not being able to attach files in the old UI. Just go to http://groups.google.com and click on “Preview the new Google Groups experience.”
P.S. I’m using the new Groups UI to post this message. Personally I expect that I’ll stick with my email client, but this has now become an attractive alternative.
It looks like, but I think it still has problems with some attachments (specifically .py scripts). For example, if you look at the message that I posted the other day, “XOR not being respected”, my initial posting has 4 attachments…3 pictures and one .py file. Only the three pictures are shown.
I got all 4 attachments in the email message. Did you send it from the Web UI or as an email?

As an email. For me, the 4th attachment (the .py file) is visible in
the old Google Groups Web UI interface, but not in the new one.
