This literally took me over 2 hours… and in the end I had to use a combination of Cygwin and MinGW with MSYS…
Save yourself the pain, just download the linked zip and overwrite the exe in Swig 1.3.22’s windows distribution… This replacement exe was compiled with MinGW (ultimately) and so doesn’t need cygwin1.dll, is able to find files, etc
It might be a good idea to link future patched Swig windows binaries right from the wxPython site… as it really hurts to compile it if you never have before
