Sorry, I must have mixed up something w/ some of the other lists I am
on ...
Usually one has an account w/ a backend like mailman where you can set
preferences or pause delivery, etc...
I couldn't find anything similar for the wxpython list.
My apologies...
Having said that: Wouldn't it be a good thing to use something a
little more proficient that allows for such features?
This list is by far the one w/ the most helpful people and therefore
most posts per day i know of.
I do not want to resubscribe in case I change my emai or unsubscribe
if I am away on vacation- 3 days often mean 200+ emails in my account

Anybody w/ me on this?

From an aesthetic point of view, I have found the web interface to the
wxPython archives to be a bit clunky, though I use them so rarely that I
don't much care either way. Generally speaking, mailman has tended to
be the standard mailing list manager (at least for Python projects), but
I don't know if Robin (or someone else) wants to set up and maintain a
mailman server.

Our preference was also MailMan but when we switched our CVS and maillist hosting to SunSite.dk several years ago they were just starting the process of migrating away from MailMan to ez-mlm because it is apparently easier to administrate or something like that. They are working on building a better archive reader and will hopefully be rolling that out soon. I saw a preview a couple weeks ago, and it is pretty nice.
