I'm looking for a particular widget, and I'm not sure whether it
already exists because I'm at a loss for what it would be named. An

A similar widget exists in the Apple Mail program for entering email
addresses. It combines an autocomplete textbox with a form of
grouping, where each address is treated as a single "character" after
entry.
Is something like this already around? Is there a proper name for this
type of widget?
