While we're on this topic, file entries appear doubled in the dialog window under Linux for the default "All supported formats" setting. It would also be nice to have an option in the constructor to set the file type displayed.

I have the same effect on Windows XP (Python 2.5, wxPython 2.8.8.1) and
on openSuSE 11.1 (Python 2.6, wxPython 2.8.8.1). I think I have seen not
only duplicates but each file up to 6 times when I selected a directory
with my own JPEG pictures.

This has already been fixed.
It would also be nice to have an option in the constructor to set the file type displayed.
