Is wxPython available to Scientific Linux

Hi, guys,

May I ask if there is wxPython packages available to Scientific Linux.
Previously I worked with CentOS, and it is fine. Now I have to migrate
to Scientific Linux, and it turns out "wxPython-common-gtk2-
unicode.i386" and "wxPython2.8-gtk2-unicode.i386", not available to
Scientific Linux.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks a lot!

As on Mandriva, I think the only solution is to compile it from source !...

If it’s not on the website, then you get to compile it. Fortunately, there are good build instructions.

For 2.9: http://wxpython.org/builddoc.php
For 2.8: http://wxpython.org/BUILD-2.8.html

And if you get stuck, just post the problem here and one of the Linux guys will help you out.
