GUI-support does it (and a lot more), see
http://mientki.ruhosting.nl/data_www/pylab_works/pw_gui_support.html
you can download it from google:
Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.
cheers,
Stef
I found pylab_works a long time ago, and the showcase are nice.
However, the site says "I hope to release the first version with
examples and debug tools in december 2008. ". And I have downloaded
some file and tried to play it, but I can't even find which is the
main program I should load with python interpreter!
So, is pylab_works abandoned? If not, is there any tut for a freshman
to use pylab_works?
Thanxk

certainly not, I use it almost every day.
The release plan in dec 2008 was too optimistic.
After a pre release for a few friends, a number of shortcomings was revealed:
- lack of documentation
- some parts, very logical for the designer, were not that obvious for others
- some parts were too flexible, resulting in many ways to realize, but also to many mistakes
- more unexpected crashes then expected
Besides that the normal things in life ( family trouble, other priorities) prevented me from working on PyLab_Works.
In the mean time, still a lot has happened:
- made a lot of doc
- completely redesigned the core, simpler and more uniform
- made of lot of embedded test tools
- simplifying creation / testing of controls
- simplifying creation of bricks
- created launch center, like the wxPython demo
About 2 weeks ago I've frozen the development to work on a real first release. I'm now testing under winXP and Ubuntu, removing absolute paths and adapting the last things to the newer definitions. I guess I need a few weeks to complete this path. There are a few things I still have problems with (maybe someone on this list has a solution):
- customtreectrl, has several problems in Ubuntu (works perfect under winXP), of which the most important is that contextmenu is not generated, only after you enter the treenode edit mode
- didn't find a install yet for VPython 5.0 under Ubuntu (I'm not familiar with Ubuntu at all
so please have a momnt of patients,

Stef
