How does one get Windows file icons for listctrl?

I'm now trying to display the msw 'folder' icon.
Haven't found a way to do this yet.

Is there any sample code from GenericWinDirCtrl (or
anywhere else) that could be used to obtain the icons?
Can anything similar be done to obtain the icon for
the msw 'shortcut' icon?

Thanks,

Jeremy.

When I wrote GenericWinDirCtrl I noticed that
depending on how the
icon was associated to an extension, the
MimeTypesManager will not
find it (and GenericWinDirCtrl does not works around
that yet -- I
don't know how to do it. 8^|)

For example, ".txt" files usually are shown with the
Notepad's icon.
Now suppose you have some ".cfg" files that
currently are not
associated to any executable and you also wish to
open them with
Notepad as well. You go to MS Explorer, right-click
a ".cfg" file,
select "Open with...", select Notepad, and then tell
Explorer to
"always use that program to open cfg files". Now
Explorer will show
all ".cfg" files with Notepad's icon, but the
MimeTypesManager still
doesn't know what's the icon for them.
