I'm working on a library to use web2py models and features (i.e., form
creation, validators, html helpers, etc.) with wxpython:
http://code.google.com/p/gui2py/
Prototype script example:
http://code.google.com/p/gui2py/wiki/Web2pyExample
In fact, at this stage, it is just a modified forms.zip example found
at the wx.HTML wiki:
http://wiki.wxpython.org/wxHTML
But my plans are to extend it to make a more complete browser-like
interface, supporting menus, tabs, etc. and advanced controls
(date/time, int control, validators, ...) and list/grid.
The questions are:
Do you see any drawback/concern with this approach?
Is there anything similar?
I don't want a fully-featured browser with CSS and Javascript, I need
just a tool to layout the controls provided by web2py html (the html
that web2py generates can be easily changed if required).
I was thinking of merging some PythonCard controls if possible.
