FINAL NOTICE: Mail list migration

This mail list has been migrated to Google Groups and the old list
will soon be deleted. Due to Google security policy I am not able to
mass subscribe all of the existing subscribers, so if you have not
already added yourself to the new group please do so now by going to:

     http://groups.google.com/group/wxPython-users/subscribe

or sending a message from the address you want subscribed to:

     wxPython-users+subscribe@googlegroups.com

Thanks,

I'm not sure who originally subscribed it, so this may be
inappropriately directed, but any chance you (or someone
quasi-official) might consider putting in a request to gmane to have
them redirect the subscription for gmane.comp.python.wxpython to the
new Google group rather than the old mailing list?

If not, any objection to my requesting a new gateway group at gmane
for the new list? Otherwise it sounds like NNTP access to the mailing
list will be lost entirely after the conversion, something I at least
find superior to other methods for following the list. Ironic too,
since Google Groups also wraps its Usenet archive, yet doesn't publish
its own groups over NNTP.

I've subscribed the gmane addresses to the new wx groups, so it should already be taken care of unless there is more configuration needed at their end.

Cool. Only thing I can think of is that they'll need to update something
on their end so posts go to the new list address.

I'd like to offer the notion that the old mailing lists be archived to
CD and sold to people who want to buy it. I am new to Python but am
still able to pull up very old articles about basic programming which
are well written and teach me.

The messages from the old mail archives were loaded in to the new google groups, so the content is still available and probably much better indexed than before.
