filters in grids

Hello,

I would like to insert a wx.TextCtrl in a wx.Grid's column label (occupying just part
of the column label rectangle) to let the user define filters
for values in the column (writing things like '<30' or '<>john and <>s*'). How to do that?
Defining it as a child of GetGridColLabelWindow() return object? Are there better solutions?

p.s. In wx\lib\gridmovers.py (2.5.2.8) there are some wxRect() instead of wx.Rect()
that have caused me problems dragging labels of empty grids
