Display music notation

Hi Brian,

Yes, that would be great if you could put your code up. It would allow me to see how you went about the problem, as right now I only have sketchy ideas as to how it’s achieved.

I don’t imagine it’s easy and thanks for the offer!

Hi Malcolm

You could also investigate using something like lilypond behind the scenes to generate the notation

Try this: http://neume.sf.net/neume-test1.tar.gz

There are two demo programs in there: neume and flashcards. Neither are
particularly well organized or documented, but if you look at the test
suite (notestest.py) and the sample parts (samplesparts.py) you should
be able to get an idea of how I intend it to work.

Any suggestions about the API would be welcome. I'm still struggling to
figure out the best design. After a lull of several months I'm just
starting to work on it again so your input is likely to be influential.
