daily digest and attachments?

sorry if this is a frequent question etc but does anyone else have problems
with attachments appearing as ascii text in the daily digest? if i want
attachments should i unsubscibe to the digest and get individual messages
instead?

That's correct, as I understand it. The daily digest sends *everything* as plain text, which makes html-mail real ugly as well as showing attachements in uuencoded form. The same limitations apply to the archives, as well. If you want your mail agent to be able to properly handle html-mail and attachments, you need to receive the list in individual-message form.

That is how binaries are encoded for email, but when you put all the messages together into one then your mail client is not able to decode them.
