Please, please do not take this as a rebuke, but I think your last few posts should have been directed towards the wxPython-Dev mailing list.
It is my understanding that this mailing list is more for questions and discussions about the usage of wxPython and not direct modifications to code.
Of course, I could be very wrong here. Hopefully others will put me right if that is the case.
But most importantly, please keep coding. I feel both inadequate and grateful when I read your posts. Inadequate because I have yet to attain the level of “code supplier” and grateful because there are so many people like you willing to share the results of their efforts with others.

I really hope Robin Dunn will pick up my previous posting and update Phoenix’s build script to use waf 1.7.10 because it fixes some very important bugs.

IIRC the preferred list for Phoenix changes is the wxPython-dev list.
I am sorry to say but looking at the patch I think you are wasting your time and I don't see why this would help Robin in any way with Phoenix.
I am sure that Robin follows the development of waf very closely and when he thinks that a new version is beneficial to wxPython I am sure he will know about it a lot earlier then anyone else and will do the necessary things to upgrade.

My posting was merely a friendly notice about the new version of waf, that’s all. 
The first post yes, but then you did a patch which one looks at and it didn't really bring anything - which is time wasted, not a lot of time but a bit here and a bit there it starts to add up.
I am sure you mean well but do consider that Robin has way to many things on his plate (and this is my view, I don't know how he sees it) and we all (me inclusive) should try and keep things of his plate if we can.
