There is a known problem with line shapes. If you are experiencing the problem with other shapes as well, then I suspect that the problem is in your application somewhere. If you are only experiencing the problem with line shapes, then look for the following comment in the wxOGL.py demo file:
# for some reason, the shapes have to be moved for the line to show up...
