Bug in agw Flatmenu

Strange problem occurs when using Flatmenu while entering text that includes number 2. Try to type number 2 with the keyboard. See the example attached where the problem is illustrated.

Can anyone help and offer if possible a workaround? This was tested under Window 7 and 10, wx-3.0, Python 2.7.10 and in a US system keyboard.

Just saw this thread which deals with the same or very similar issue. I found a workaround it seems.
