Anyone have a *simple* script to generate barcodes? I know about
bookland, I'm looking for something simple. I have a PHP script that's
easy to follow, but I'm having probs translating it into wxPython.
Thanks.

Why not just use one of the many barcode fonts that are available?
There are even a few free ones.

Depends on what you want to use them for.
You can try GNU barcode which is a command line program to generate barcode
images. It can be found at
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/barcode/
You then could simply execute the barcode program from python and use the
resulting image.
