Hi Max,
Hi, Why does the panes in the AUI manager not always maximize to fill the whole parent window? This can be seen in the AUI_DockingWindowMgr demo: The tree-control maximizes, as expected, to fill the whole window, but the Text Pane only fills the bottom half when it is maximized. Some dragging and maximizing indicates that when the maximized pane is not on the same row as the center-pane it will only fill about half the screen. Anybody knows what's going on? Any suggesested fixes?
This is an old bug [1], exposed some month ago and yet to be fixed (although the patch is out there in the wxWidgets bug tracker). There is nothing we can do at the wxPython level other than waiting for the AUI experts to fix it in the C++ implementation. Actually the first one to report the bug was a wxPython user :-D . Thanks for your very fast reply, Andrea.
I like the AUI manager, but sometimes it feels a bit shaky. I’ll see if
I can intercept the maximize events somehow, otherwize I’ll guess I’ll
just have to skip the maximize buttons until the bug is fixed.
