ATTN: wx application developers!

Hi all,

We're currently working on a new site design for the wxWidgets.org web site, and as part of that, we'd like to gather a gallery of screenshots as well as get a fairly comprehensive list of apps in our application database.

The screenshots we want should meet two criteria:

1) There should be Win, Mac and Linux screenshots

1) The app should be a modern-looking app running on fairly modern version of the OS

If you have a screenshots page with screenshots meeting this criteria, please send me a link to the screenshots or to the page containing the screenshots. If you do not wish to upload/host the images anywhere, email me so that we can work something out. Also, if you send us your app's URL, we can hyperlink the app name to your web site.

I will wait a week to give people time to submit screenshots and register apps before I will actively work them into the site. Then, once we have those screenshots, we will randomly display some of these screenshots on the wxWidgets.org homepage to give people an idea of what wxWidgets does and, well, to show off a little. You can see the intro box on http://www.wxwidgets.org/newsite to get an idea of how this interface will show up. (Please try to make screenshots that fit well within the dimensions of the sample screenshot on the site.)

Also, please go to our downloads database on wxCommunity.com and search for your app/component. If you don't see it, then please register yourself on the site and submit your app/component for inclusion. (This site sorely needs some more wxPython-related entries, IMHO!) We are trying to get as close to a comprehensive app database as possible. The link to the downloads database is:

http://www.wxcommunity.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index

You will need to register an account in order to add entries or suggest modifications to existing entries.

Many thanks for all your help!

Kevin
