As far as I know there’s been a few bug fixes to both wxWidgets and wxPython since 4.0.1.
Specifically, I’m waiting on a release that includes the wxWidgets fix for https://github.com/wxWidgets/Phoenix/issues/767. I’ve had to fall back to beta 2 because of this. Lots of users (specifically Linux users) have reported that their distros only support stable versions, which is currently broken with regard to the aforementioned issue.

Just curious if there’s a timelime?
The short answer is, “as soon as I can.”
I’ve been feeling for a while that it is time for another release, but I’ve been a little more busy than usual with other things lately and haven’t had the time needed to get it done.

I just test the example code from the bug report in Ubuntu 18.04 + Python3 + wxPython 4 (all installed from sources) and the app works fine, never crash. The code give me an error under Python 2.7, I just update the issue.
Just curious, how long does it normally take to do a release? I’m sure it’s not “press button, receive bacon”, but curious as to what’s involved.

4.1.x (master branch) will be based on wxWidgets 3.1.
