The Windows version has wx.lib.pdfwin (see the demo app), which requires Acrobat Reader. It chokes on Acrobat 7.0, though.

The problem with the crashing AcrobatReader 7.x is annoying me too. Is the problem on wxPython side or on Acrobat side?

It seems that some people here are working on this very problem, so I'll let the details to them. For what I can see though, 7.0 changed its API somewhat from 5.0 and 6.0, and those work reasonably well. So I'd say the problem is probably on the Acrobat side; but if other ActiveX wrappers can use Acrobat without a hitch, then we can find a workaround too. I hope.

There's the ActiveX wrapper for Windows, but it is having troubles with Acrobat 7. There isn't anything for the other platforms yet that I know of.
