[ANN] wxPython Cookbook Published

Greetings,

I am happy to announce the publication of the wxPython 2.8 Application
Development Cookbook. This book includes a wealth of information on
wxPython, application design, and programming approaches. The content
of this book is based around wxPython 2.8 but the ideas are applicable
to 2.9 and forward as well.

The book is published by Packt Publishing which supports open source
projects and pays royalties back to the projects that the books are
written about. So all purchases of this book also go towards
supporting wxPython.

Packt believes in Open Source. When we sell a book written on an Open
Source project, we pay a royalty directly to that project. As a result
of purchasing one of our Open Source books, Packt will have given some
of the money received to the Open Source project.

In the long term, we see ourselves and yourselves, as customers and
readers of our books, as part of the Open Source ecosystem, providing
sustainable revenue for the projects we publish on. Our aim at Packt
is to establish publishing royalties as an essential part of the
service and support business model that sustains Open Source.

Congratulations Cody! I look forward to purchasing and reading your
book.

Awesome! I’ll see if my secret Santa is game for Christmas.

That’s amazing, I was debating posting a question if a newer revision of wxPython in Action! was due out soon. I hate buying a book only to find a new revision was released a few weeks ago but the seller was still pushing thier old inventory, or that a new revision is due out in a month or two.

Congrats Cody. I pre-ordered this several months ago, so I'll keep my
eyes open. Packt hasn't bothered to tell me that the ebook version is
ready, which is totally lame, but typical Packt. I look forward to
reading it.

Congrats Cody. Now, if your book experience was anything like mine, it's now time to take a deep breath and treat yourself to a nice long nap. Happy Holidays.

Congratulations, Cody! And thanks for very helpfully advancing understanding of wxPython, in the book or on the list.
