Sure enough... I did an uninstall and checked site-packages - one DLL
(with a version number of 2.6.0.0) remained. I deleted it by hand,
installed 2.6.0.1 and the problem was gone.

That was the reason why my demo won’t run - the uninstallation left
wxmswvch.dll in the dir. Thank
