Hello NG,

I would like to "announce" my last child, AdvancedSplash. I created this
control after I have seen the gorgeous SplashScreens used in Adobe
Photoshop. I think AdvancedSplash can do something similar (but not at the
same high quality level, perhaps).

I would be glad, happy and grateful for every comment/ideas you may have.
The same also if you only try the demo.

AdvancedSplash Tries To Reproduce The Behavior Of wx.SplashScreen, But With
Some Enhancements (In My Opinion).

AdvancedSplash Starts Its Construction From A Simple Frame. Then, Depending
On
The Options Passed To AdvancedSplash, It Sets The Frame Shape Accordingly To
The Image Passed As Input. AdvancedSplash Behaves Somewhat Like
wx.SplashScreen,
And Almost All The Methods Available In wx.SplashScreen Are Available Also
In
AdvancedSplash.

I have uploaded the source code and a nice (for me) demo in the usual place:

I really welcome any comments, suggestions and ideas you may have, also
reporting other platforms behavior (I'm on Windows 2000/XP, Python 2.4.1 and
wxPython 2.6.1.1 prerelease). The use of the SetShape() method may not work
on all platforms (I think it works on MSW, Unix/Linux and MacOS Carbon, but
I may be wrong). If someone has an alternative (better) idea to avoid the
use of SetShape, please let me know.

Thanks for every comments.

Andrea.
