Shorts and quick comments.

* 2.8.7-unicode runs smoothly on my w2k + sp4, Python 2.5 platform (runtime and demo).

* No problems with my critical applications (leaving away the ansi/unicode stc
problematic).

About distribution.

* The separation between the runtime and the demo is in my mind a really good
point.
* However when discussing on French fora about wxPython, I'm always suprised by
the number of people who are not aware about the existence of the demo. The main page of the wxPython site should emphasizes this.
* Multiversion install: 9 versions (now) of "2.8" are too much.

About Editra:

* Unlike peppy ou PyPE, it works correctly with my Swiss French keyboard, understand also with all AltGr'ed European keyboards. Good work here.

* Just wonder if this should belong to a wxPython distribution.

* After a ten minutes test, I did not found it buggy", it is certainly not mature enough. Like any piece of software, it still need improvements, eg. on my
platform there is a languages mixin in the menu items (English and French).

The key point here is not the application per se. It lies in the fact, that a lot of wxPython newbees falling in this kind of application are desappointed and
too quickly draw conclusions on the wxPython toolkit itself.

Misc.

- Please, add a new line at the end of the wx.pth file
