2.5.2.8 release candidate build uploaded

Hi,

A new RC build of wxPython has been uploaded to starship.

   Version: 2.5.2.8
   URL: http://starship.python.net/crew/robind/wxPython/preview/2.5.2.8

Have fun!

Robin,
can you go over what the important items are in this release that have changed, aka bug fixes? Also, is this pulling from the latest and greatest wxWidgets code base in cvs such that we are likely to see things that were working in 2.5.2.7, break and/or behavior changes? I just want to get a feel for how much testing I should be doing. I haven't heard anything on the various outstanding Mac OS X bugs with TextCtrl... so I'm assuming the release doesn't address these and we'll still need a 2.5.2.9 for that.

Robin,

Will this include Jed Burgess' WxGrid drag addition?

It's wx CVS as of a Tuesday or Wednesday. Other than the new stock buttons support (which is still changing so it isn't in wxPython yet) all the other significant changes in wx are mentioned in the link above.

I should add that other then the fixes mentioned I would consider this version of the wxWidgets *very* similar to what is in 2.5.2.7 so only light testing should be needed.
